Muralidhara Swamigal established
Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, a charitable organization to augur peace,
harmony and welfare to the under-privileged sections of the society. Through the organization, many individuals
and families have improved their living conditions. The institution constantly engages in
charitable activities like donation of food and clothing to the needy,
distribution of educational materials in the rural schools, healthcare programs
for the rural folks, distribution of sewing machines for women, crutches and
artificial limbs for the handicapped, spectacles for senior citizens and
learning aids for the blind, orphanages and old-age homes.
Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam was
founded by Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, the divine incarnation of Lord Sri Danvantri. Guruji was born to humble parents on 21st
October 1960 in the village of Walajapet in Vellore district of Tamilnadu,
India.
The Peedam was established in Kilpudupet,
Ananthalaimadura near Walajapet by devotees who benefitted from the grace of Guruji. Soon after that devotees established Sri
Maruthiyin Uthavikkarangal Trust, a Religious and Charitable trust in the
birthplace of Walajapet, in Vellore district of Tamilnadu, India, to render
religious and charitable services to the needy.
Over a period of time, devotees from
all walks to life, from all over the world visited Guruji and performed Yagams,
and Prayers in their respective places, to serve humankind. Today, Swamiji's vision and mission has
touched millions of lives all over the world.
