A special Anna yagnam (Anna Homam, Anna Yagam) would be held at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on September 8, 2013, in the presence of Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
A special abhishekam would be performed for the idol of Sri Annapoorani installed at the Peedam while a joint prayer would also be conducted.
The special yagnam was being conducted for world peace, the banishment of any dosham due to annadhanam, the continuance of annadhanam at the Peedam every overcoming obstacles and to re-dedicate oneself to the task of feeding the poor and needy through annadhanam.
At the Peedam, annadhanam is performed every day where the poor and the devotees partake of the food.
The yagnam would be performed at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has appealed to devotees to take part in the yagnam in large numbers and receive the blessings of Sri Annapoorani.
