Devathaa Gayatri homam conducted on June 3
A
Sakala Devathaa Gayatri homam was conducted at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam,
Walajapet, on June 3 for the benefit of entire mankind in the presence of
Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
The
homam was conducted by Vedic experts Vedha Sivakama Vidyabhushanam Sri Rajappa
Sivam, Sri Vivekananda Sivam and Sri Rajivgandhi Sivam from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
on Monday.
Devotees
were privileged to participate in the Gayatri homam which is considered very
powerful since people take sankalpam seeking to clear obstacles to
marriage, successful business and industry, and for development of agriculture,
education, and to annihilate different kinds of doshas and drishtis.
Sri
Muralidhara Swamigal said the performance of the homam also helped the research
of the Peedam into various herbs, medicines, besides art and culture and
literature.
Samprokshanam
was performed for all the deities of the Peedam and this was followed by Annadhanam
in which everyone gathered participated.
