Bhairavars are the form of Lord
Shiva. There are Sixty Four Bhairava forms. Swarna Akarshana Bhairavar is one
of them. This Bhairavar form is said to
be Lord Shiva himself.
Swarna means Gold. Akarshan menas
Attracting. Hence by conducting the dedicated Poojas and Homams to Sri Swarnakarshana
Bairavar blesses the performer with wealth and richness. He makes the wishes
towards wealth and assets to get fulfilled. The ancient books related to Sri Swarnakarshana
Bhairavar
says that once due to the curse of
the sage Durvasa, Mahalakshmi lost all her powers and wealth. Then Goddess
Mahalakshmi worshipped Swarnakarshana Bhairava to regain all her lost powers
and wealth. He is also the “Aapadudharuna Murti” the uplifting hand in times of
crisis. Apath means the situation of crisis. Daruna means the time. Murthi
means the Lord. He averts all kinds of dangers. The person who worships
Swarnakarshana Bhairavar literally gets all the wishes. The terrifying ones –
he liberates us from all the patterns and karmas causing the cycle of birth and
death.
The books and text depicts Him to be
seated under the wish-fulfilling Kalpavriksha on a gem-studded golden throne in
Sripuram – the city of Devi Maha Tripurasundari to serve Him. The Swarna
akarshana Bhairavar has red complexion and clothed in golden dress. He has moon
in his head. He has four hands. In one of the hands he carries a golden vessel.
He gives wealth and prosperity.
