Special prayers would be held at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on August 3, 2013, to celebrate Aadiperukku (the 18th day of the month of Aadi).
Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said at the special prayers, devotes would seek copious rains so that all the rivers so that farmers can have enough water and people have enough drinking water. Farmers are also known to sow seeds and take steps hoping for a good harvest later. Similarly, women also conduct sumangali pooja.
On this auspicious day, special prayers would be held at the Danvantri Peedam also for world peace.
