The Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, famous for not just its non-stop homams for human welfare but also installing the idols of various gurus that India is famous for, observed the 342nd aradhana of Guru Raghavendra from August 20 to 24, 2013.
Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, has installed a 4-foot, Guru Raghavendra idol at the peedam. The unique feature of this idol is that never before has the Guru been depicted with Kamadhenu, the celestial cow.
Cow puja, panchamirtha abishekam, alankaram, archanai, homam, Veda parayanam, Vishnu Sahasranama parayanam, Rudra parayanam were held on all the days of the aradhana.
Sri Muralidhara Swamigal had appealed to all devotees to attend the poojas on this auspicious occasion and receive the blessings of Guru Raghavendra.
