Sri Ramananda Bharathi, Peetaadhipathi of Sri Sowbhagya Bhuvaneswari Peetam, Sri Mounananda Thapovanam, Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, participated in the Kodi Naama Jabam at Sri Danvantri Arogya peedam, Walajapet, on July 15, 2013.
He attended the programme on the invitation of Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
Normally, in temples, Ashtothiram (108) or Sahasranaamam (1008) are performed. On some occasions, Laktcha Naama jabam are also held. However, it is rare to come across a Kodi Naama Jabam. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, who has many firsts to his credit like the ‘365 days 365 Yaagam’ successfully completed recently, performed the Kodi Naama Jabam for world peace, to help the people overcome distress and disease, and to lead lives of peace and prosperity, defeating various drishtis and doshaas.
The Jabam was started on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peedam, Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
The Peetadhipathi went round the Peedam and worshipped before the 65 deities there and said the Peedam was well-maintained as per international standards and was truly an international research centre. He also said the naturopathy centre and yoga centre were also laudable achievements.
The Jabam would also see an end to terrorism which plagues the world and the problems caused by drought on one hand and floods on the other.
The Peetaadhipathi said the priests and staff at the Peedam were cordial and dedicated in their service, without seeking any reward.
