Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, we are conducting Vastu Santhi Homam for
Vasthu Bhagavan on Wednesday 22.08.2018 in the occasion of Vasthu Day
from 7.30 AM to 9.00 AM at our Vasthu Bhagavan Temple in Sri
Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet.
Vasthu :
Vastu is a one of the most ancient sciences of Indian
architecture which is based on five elements of nature and different directions
ie East,West,North,South. Vaasthu Sasthra is composed of specific rules,
regulations and directions, set down by sages of the vedic times. For the
modern society it is the highly evolved, comprehensive building philosophy. According
to vastu, a building or premises of a living organism and can be designed in
harmonic resonance with the underlying energy structure of the universe. Such a
building or premises becomes a generator of coherence, attuning the occupants
to the universal laws and increasing health, wealth and spiritual well being.
About Vastu Temple at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam :
Ensuring growth and success is VAASTHU BHAGWAN with ASHTADHIK
BAALAKAS in the LINGAM FORM. Why is there a vasthu benediction here? The
complex came up at intervals, as intuition and divine messages came forth to
Swamigal. The physical construct of the peedam therefore does not comply
entirely with the vaasthu laws. After much thought, Swamigal decided to lay
this problem at the Lord's feet; he constructed the Vastu Purushar image in
strict accordance with the vaasthu laws and left it to Him to resolve any
issues that might arise due to misaligned vasthu. The vastu purushar is a black
stone, short human idol in a reclining position, with the head oriented towards
the northeast, where Lord Siva is in residence and where Ganga flows. According
to the principles of vasthu, this then is the place where a householder must
dig a well in his home.
In the east sits Indran. In the south-east is Agni, or the
kitchen of the house. The south is where Yama resides. In the southwest is
Kuberan, the god of wealth; ideally the head of the family would occupy this corner
of the house. In the West is Varuna, while Vayu occupies the north-west. In the
centre rests Brahma. For devotees who come to pray here, corrective yantras are
given to set right the vaasthu in their homes. Eight lingams adorn the eight
directions specific in vaastu shastra to bestow distinct energies.
The water used during abhishekams of these lingams and the
Vastu Purusha at this shrine is recycled, as the water goes into a well in the
north-east corner.
This shrine has been established under the aegis of the Vastu
Nivarti Peedam. The interesting feature about this entire space is that the
Vastu Purushar has been consecrated in an area that is by all counts vasthu
unfriendly.
Vastu Santhi Homam :
In front of our Vasthu bhagavan, Ashtadik Palakars and Pancha
Bhuthas Temple, the Vastu Shanti Homam is performed for Vastu Bhagavan,
Ashtadik Palakars and Pancha Bhuthas to remove negative influences or Vastu
doshas of the home or office to have a good and happy life. Vastu Homam
corrects the fault of construction and ensures that the house is free from any
evil or negative energies. It also grants mercy if any organism came to any
harm during the construction. This puja will radiate peace and happiness in the
house and result in a well-balanced environment. It will help to remove the ill
effects of the Vastu Doshas. Vastu Shanti Homam is the best way to seek the
blessings of Vastu Bhagawan. Vastu Purush the lord of directions, is invoked
while performing this pooja, chanting of mantras is done and pooja is done as
per the shastras.
Vastu Bhagavan :
Vastu Purush is an epitome of spirit, power and energy and
safeguards the building. He is the soul, protector and lord of construction and
land is the main deity while performing Vastu Shanti Homam. This Yagam is very
important to remove all the Vastu Doshas, and the person participating in this homam
attains all comforts happiness and prosperity.
