10 Lakh Elachi (Cardamom) Homam begins at Peedam
Walajapet: A special Ten Lakh Elachi (Cardamom) homam would be conducted at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, till January 4, 2015, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has announced. Vidya Ganapathy homam was conducted on January 1, Saraswathy homam on January 2, and Lakshmi Hayagrivar homam on January 3.
 Benefits of  Vidya Ganapathy Homam on 1st January, 2015:
 Vidya Ganapathy Homam invokes success for children who are striving to excel in their examinations, empowering them through divine prayers. This is for those who seek better results in studying and who suffer from speech defects. Children will be blessed and will have success in examinations and increase in concentration and confidence. Improvements will also take place in memory, concentration and success in knowledge ventures.
 Benefits of Sri Saraswathy Homam on 2nd January, 2015:

 Over two lakh Elachis (cardamom) were used in poornahuthi on January 3 at the end of the Lakshmi Hayagrivar homam on January 3. A large number of students, teachers and parents took part in the programme.
 Thousands of students received note-books and stationary material. Students, teachers and parents participated in the joint prayer. Among those who took part in the homam on January 3 were Thiru R. Pattabhiraman (Chennai) on behalf of the Danvantri family, retired bank official Thiru Mohan Vellore), Thiru Chengalvarayan (Chennai), Thiru Srinivas Prashanth (Tiruninravur) and Thirumathi Sheela Naganathan.
