Walajapet: A special pooja for 64 forms of Bairavar with Ashtami yaagam will be conducted on November 29, 2014, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has said.
Bairavar bestows bounties on devotees. Sri Sorna Akaarshana Bairavar and Sri Ashta Bairavar homams were regularly conducted at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet. Homams have also been performed for Dasa Bairavar, 64 Bairavars and 74 Bairavars from time to time.
On Saturday, November 29, 2014, the special pooja for 64 forms of Bairavar would be held on the occasion of Maithulaashtami when a homam would be held at the Peedam.
Since Bairavar is the guru of Saneeswaran, paying obeisance to Bairavar would reduce the ill-effects through Saneeswaran. Therefore, praying to Bairavar on Saturdays especially, would block any ill-effect from Saneeswaran. Praying to Bairavar at Rahu kaalam on Sundays would also be beneficial.
