A special homam and prayer were conducted at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on August 3, 2014, on account of Adi Perukku.
The special prayers and homam were performed as Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal wanted to highlight the importance of Adi Perukku - Padhinettaam Perukku.
Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has said that a special abhishekam was performed for Goddess Mahisasushamardhini. Swamigal said devotees should be aware of the significance of Adi Perukku, the role of poojas and prayer in our lives, the significance of Maangalyam, and to seek the blessings of Varuna Bhagwan so that the world benefits by good rains.
A large number of devotees participated in the special homam and prayer.
