343rd Aradhana of Sri Raghavendrar at Peedam

The 343rd Aradhana of Sri Rayar Raghavendrar will be observed at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, from August 11 to 15, 2014, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has announced. 

Sri Raghavendrar was the founder pontiff of the Madhwa Peedam. Born in Bhuvanagiri, he attained jeeva samaadhi in a Tulasi Brindhavanam at Mantralaya in the presence of several followers. At the Arogya Peedam, he has been included in recognition of the rich heritage of gurus in this country.

When Sri Muralidhara Swamigal visited the mutt, a gentleman gifted him a crawling Krishna that had been worshipped in the family for over 250 years! This idol has been installed at the base of the Raghavendra idol.

The Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, famous for not just its non-stop homams for human welfare but also installing the idols of various gurus that India is renowned for, observed the 342nd aradhana of Guru Raghavendra from August 20 to 24, 2013.

Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, has installed a 4-foot, Guru Raghavendra idol at the peedam. The unique feature of this idol is that never before has the Guru been depicted with Kamadhenu, the celestial cow.

Panchamirtha abishekam, alankaram, archanai, homam, Veda parayanam, Navagraha homam, Lakshmi puja and Rayar aradhana would be held at the Peedam. 

Sri Muralidhara Swamigal had appealed to all devotees to attend the poojas on this auspicious occasion and receive the blessings of Guru Raghavendra, which would help overcome difficulties and enjoy a life with peace and prosperity.
