The Prathyankira homam, along with Soolini homam, was conducted for the second day at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on December 20, 2013, in the morning and evening.
In the homam, Thiruvalam Shantha Swamigal, Yogi Sankaraguruji, Vellore Sahasra Anjaneya temple Swamigal, K S Udhayasankar, Sri Durga Bhavan, Vellore, S V Gopalakrishnan, Mayavaram, participated and grace the occasion. The homam was conducted in the presence of Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, who supervised the arrangements.
The homam was held from 10 a.m. in the morning using 1,000 kg of chilly, kunkumam, turmeric, navadhanyangal, silk dress material and herbs.
Devotees came from different parts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other parts of the country and offered worship, and participated in the joint prayer. They also took part in the annadhanam at the Peedam.
On December 21, Santhi Durga homam would be held along with Saraba Prathyankara Devi homam. Dr M Priyadarshini, revenue officer at Ranipet, will participate and grace the occasion.
