Sadha Chandi Yaagam for Jayalalithaa well-being
Walajapet: A special Sadha Chandi yaagam was held at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam at the instance of the HR and CE department for the well-being of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa as part of the 67th birthday celebrations.
The yaagam was held from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on March 3, 2015 to extend good wishes to Jayalalithaa on account of her birthday and also in the interest of world peace. The yaagam was supervised by Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
The yaagam was conducted at the maha kundam in front of Prathyangara Devi idol. Ten Vedic experts conducted the yaagam.
Over 100 medicinal herbs, honey, fruits and flowers were offered in the yaagam.
Former minister and MLA, Mohammed Jan, Vellore East district secretary G Parthiban, former district secretary C Elumalai, Walajah chairman W S Vedagiri, Town secretary WG Mohan, besides representatives of local bodies and panchayats, councilors, and devotees took part in the yaagam.
A special annadhanam was held in which the guests and devotees took part.
