yaagam, Maheswara pooja at Peedam

Over thousand Sivandiyaars took part in the special annadhanam along with
Maheswara pooja and Panchaatchara yaagam in view of Arudra dharisanam at Sri
Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on January 5, 2015, under the supervision
of Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sr Muralidhara Swamigal. Annapoorni yaagam was also performed.
Aathamanand Saraswathi swamigal, Sivananda
Saraswathi swamigal, Appananda Saraswathi swamigal, Paramaanand Saraswathi
swamigal, Kaaleeswaranand swamigal, Ramgiri swamigal, Vivekanand swamigal,
kavignar Lakhmipathi, Vellore Durga Bhavan proprietor Uday Shankar, Prakash
from Chennai, Rajasekhar from Udhagamandalam, Venkatesh from Bengaluru, Salem
Bharat Plaza owner, Kancheepuram VGN Dhall Mill owner, Vellore Jaishankar, Mohan,
industrialist Panchaiyappa Mudaliar and others took part in the joint
prayer. Over 20,000 persons attended the annadhanam.
Sivandiyaars were presented dress material. Women were presented auspicious
material.
On Sunday, Maheswara pooja was conducted from
12 noon to 1 p.m. Dress materials were presented at 2 p.m. Devotees derived the
blessings of the saints and Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, besides prasadam, at 3
p.m.
Maheswara pooja was performed on January 5 in
view of Arudhra dharisanam, followed by annadhanam. The benefits of
participating in such a pooja and annadhanam would be the same as conducting
the ashwamedha yaagam.
A number of sadhus from Hrishikesh, Badrinath,
Thiruvannnamalai and Palani attended the pooja. Arrangements were made by Sri
Danvantri Arogya Peedam for their stay at Walajapet. "We are honoured to
look after the sadhus at Walajapet. Lord Siva appears before us in the form of
a sadhu, it is said. We are sure that Lord Siva would give us darshan in the
form of a sadhu", Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said.
Before the
annadhanam, the sadhus were presented dress material. They were presented
garlands and also reimbursed their travel expense, Sri Muralidhara Swamigal
said. Participating in such an annadhanam would help one get several benefits
like blessings of our forefathers, elders, relief from curses, secure wealth in
the form of business deals or education. Such annadhanam can be performed on
any special day of the family like birthday, anniversary day and so on.
