Maheswara Pooja with annadhanam
at PeedamWalajapet: A special annadhanam along with Maheswara pooja would be
held at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on January 4 and 5, 2015,
Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sr Muralidhara Swamigal has announced.
Maheswara pooja will be conducted on Sunday in
view of Pournami on January 4. Maheswara pooja will also be performed on
January 5 in view of Arudhra dharisanam, followed by annadhanam, followed by
annadhanm. The benefits of participating in such a pooja and annadhanam would
be the same as conducting the ashwamedha yaagam.
A number of sadhus from Hrishikesh, Badrinath,
Thiruvannnamalai and Palani. Arrangements have been made by Sri Danvantri
Arogya Peedam for tbeir stay at Walajapet. "We are honoured to look after
the sadhus at Walajapet. Lord Siva appears before us in the form of a sadhu, it
is said. We are sure that Lord Siva would give us darshan in the form of a
sadhu", Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said.
Before the annadhanam, the sadhus would be
presented dress material. They would be presented garlands and also reimbursed
their travel expense, Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said.

Participating in such an annadhanam would help
one get several benefits like blessings of our forefathers, elders, relief from
curses, secure wealth in the form of business deals or education. Such
annadhanam can be performed on any special day of the family like birthday,
anniversary day and so on.
On January 4, along with cow pooja and
ganapathy homam, Maheswara pooja would be performed at 10 a.m. Sadhus would be
served annadhanam at 1 p.m. Special abhishekam and aradhanai wouled be
performed for Sri Maragadeshwari and Sri Maragadeshwarar, 468 siddha lingams
and the various greats at the Peedam at 4 p.m.
Joint prayer would be held along with the
sadhus at 7 p.m.
On January 5, annadhanam would be held
throughout the day at the Peedam. Over ten sivacharyas would perform
panchaatchara yaagam in view of Arudra dharisanam. Maheswara pooja would be
conducted from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Dress materials would be presented at 2 p.m.
Devotees can get the blessings of the saints and Sri Muralidhara Swamigal,
besides prasadam, at 3 p.m.
