Walajapet: A special homam was conducted by Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on October 13 and 14 for victims of the Hud Hud cyclone that ravaged Andhra Pradesh.
The homam was held under the supervision of Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
A prayer was held to condole the death of several persons who were hit by the cyclone.
The homam was also conducted at 10 a.m. on both days at the Peedam to pray for the well-being of people in Andhra Pradesh and to mitigate their suffering due to damage caused to electric posts, crops and buildings. The homam was also performed for the dead to rest in peace.
Sri Muralidhara Swamigal hoped that normalcy would be restored soon, and said the priests and devotees at the Peedam prayed for the welfare of the affected people in Andhra Pradesh.
