The idol of Sri Veera Brahmangaaru will be installed at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on January 17, 2014. This will be the 69th deity at the Peedam.
The five-foot high idol has been sculpted by Thiru Loganathan, renowned sculptor of Prakash Kalaikoodam, Mamallapuram.
The idol will be installed at a function to be presided over by Rathnagiri Balamuruganadimai swamigal, in the presence of Tirutani Baladatha Peedam Acharya Yoganand Swamigal.
The installation will be held between 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, January 17, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said, adding that devotees should come in large numbers to attend the auspicious function.
Sri Veera Brahmangaaru was renowned for his book Kaalagnaanam, which explains how life will be in the kaliyuga, and how men will live and should live in the kaliyuga. He was born at Pothalur in Andhra Pradesh. Though he had no formal education, he was a great scholar with enormous knowledge of the world and mankind.
A special Ayurveda camp and an annadhanam would be held, Swamigal said.
