Welcome to Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, a sacred centre of Indian culture in Vellore district.
We invite everyone with open arms whatever be his/her nationality, race, gender, caste or creed.
But we also want to ensure that you have the perfect time of your life in this sacred spot nestled among the sacred hills.
TIMINGS: The Peedam is open on six days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Owing to maintenance work and ongoing construction activities for an old age home, orphanage and deity enclosures, the Peedam will be closed on MONDAYS.
Visitors please note that this system will be in place from February 23, 2015.
PARKING: There is ample parking space available for all types of vehicles.
Parking charge is for a maximum of six hours.
Two-wheelers: Rs 5
Car and three-wheelers: Rs 20
Vans: Rs 30
Mini-bus: Rs 50
Bus and coach: Rs 125
ELECTRONIC ITEMS BANNED: No electronic items will be allowed inside the complex. You will have to leave your cellphone at home or leave it at the Peedam gate for safekeeping. No cameras are allowed inside the complex.
ADMISSION: As we are open to people of all strata of society, admission is FREE. Admission into the herbal garden and Prarthana Mandir is also free.
CLOAKROOM: Visitors can deposit their possessions in the cloakroom at their own risk and responsibility.
DRESS REGULATION: We are very particular about dress code for men and women. Men are requested to remove their shirt/T-shirt and be bare-chested while entering the Peedam and remain so till they leave the complex. Bermudas, shorts, vests (banians), lungis, mini skirts, midis, sleeveless top or low-waist jeans are a strict ‘No, No’.
VISITORS CENTRE: While entering the Sri Danvantri Peedam, the Visitors Centre provides an overview of the entire complex. Time guidelines can be obtained from here. The enquiry section and waiting area are located here.
WHEELCHAIRS: Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam is meant especially for those seeking mental and physical solace. So, we have thoughtfully provided wheelchairs for the aged and physically challenged visitors. We request relatives/friends of the wheelchair user to accompany and help them around the complex. Wheelchairs must be returned before leaving the complex. Refundable deposit: Rs 100.
TELEPHONE BOOTHS: Public telephones are available at the Visitors Centre and other locations around the complex for use by the general public.
LOST AND FOUND DEPARTMENT: Give details of your lost possessions in the security department. The management is not responsible for lost items.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Cigarettes, alcohol and drugs are not allowed anywhere in the Peedam. No inflammable materials will be allowed within the complex.
FOOD: Visitors are not allowed to carry their own food inside the premises. Pure, fresh vegetarian food and snacks are available in the canteen.
PETS: No pets are allowed inside the complex.
DONATIONS: Visitors wishing to make donations for the charity work undertaken by Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam in fields as diverse as education, environment, social relief, medicine, culture and spiritual uplift are requested to use the donation boxes or contact the Reception Centre. CHEQUES can be drawn in favor of Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam.
FOR SECURITY SAKE: The Peedam reserves the right to screen any/every visitor. The management also reserves right of admission and any change in the schedules without prior notice.
