Bhoomi Pooja for the installation of a 27-foot, Aishwarya Prathyankara Devi idol at the Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, would be held here on February 12, 2014, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has announced.
Sri Sapthagiri Amma of Prathayankara Siddhar Peedam, Bengaluru, would preside over the Bhoomi Pooja on February 12 at 9 a.m.
A special Maha Kali Prathyankara Devi homam would be held from March 28 to 30 when a joint prayer would be held for early installation of the idol. 10,000 pomegranates would be used in this yaagam.
From December 19 to 25, 2013, a 12-foot deep and 16 foot wide yaagakundam was used for a special Prathyankara Devi homam adjacent to the Peedam complex. 6,000 kilos of red chillies were used in the homam among other material. This spot would be developed as a Maha Peedam where the 27-foot Aishwarya Prathyanakara idol would be installed, Swamigal said adding that along with the idol, Arthameru and Akanda Deepam would also be installed.
Devotees have been asked to write the following mandhiram:
"Sri Om Mahapeeda Pratyangira Devyai Namaha --
Om Sri Mahapeeda Badrakaali Devyai Namaha"
27 times on separate sheets of paper and send it to the Peedam in Walajapet before April 14 for these papers to be placed at the basement of the idol.
Those who seek prasadam of the March 28-30 homam, should send a self-addressed envelope with Rs 10 stamp to the Peedam.
Writing the mandhirams and sending the same to the Peedam would help devotees get rid of various doshas and drishtis and evils, and bring benefits in the fields of trade, agriculture, education and help get married or get progeny and so on.
