A grand yagna for Sri Ashtalakshmi Samedha Sri Lakshmi Narayana would
be performed on February 7, Sunday at Sri Danvantri Peedam, Kilpudupet
village, Walaja, by using more than 21 lakhs of lotus seeds. The yagna
is to be held as part of the Mandala Pooja for Sri Kubera Lakshmi
consecration which took place on January 29th..
In order to conduct the yagna, preliminary poojas at the Peedam would
be started from February 5, Murali Swamigal said.
According to Sri Murali Swamigal, the yagna had been performed for the
global welfare and peace. Besides the yagna,108 women would perform
in Thiruvilakku pooja and also another 16 women performing Sri
Shodasha Lakshmi pooja.
More than 300 devotees of the Peedam from Pudhucherry would be
participating in all the poojas, said the Swamigal. On Feb.8, Monday,
due to Thai Ammavasai ( New Moon Day), an yagna for Maha Prathyankara
followed by abhishekam would be taking place in the Peedam, said the Swamigal.
