Lord Kala
Bhairava, the manifestation of Lord Shiva is the chief deity of this powerful
Homa. He is decorated with serpents all around his body and his divine vehicle
is the dog. On pleasing this deity, we will be powered with the habit of

management skills as he is the Lord of Time.

Homam
Description:
This
powerful homam requires careful execution as it involves Lord Shiva and the
mantras , the procedures and the order of the rituals should be strictly
adhered .It begins with the Anujnaa , the permission to perform the task at
hand and this is done with a simple invocation .Then Aachamanam followed by
Vigneswara pooja for destroying obstacles followed by pranaayamam and sankalpam
– taking the vow . Then the kalasa suddhi is done ( water purification) by
reciting specific mantras and sprinkling water in specific directions. Then
comes the Agni pratishthaapana ( Sacred fire installation). The prelimnary
offerings or the purvaangam which involves a homam for maha ganapathi and then
the Kala Bhairav maha mantra will be recited as parayana and it will be
followed by Homa/Havan followed by the thanking ceremony followed by the
Suddhaana bali or the sacrifice of pure rice and completed with the poornahuti
to mark the end of the homam .
